Counseling belief statement

At Kellogg we believe that all students deserve to learn, grow and thrive, socially, emotionally and academically in a safe environment.

Mission and Vision:

The mission of the Kellogg Middle School Counseling Program is to inspire all students to exceed/reach their academic, career, and personal/social potential, and in doing so, become successful college and career ready, transformative global citizens.  In order to realize our vision we will aim to create anti-racist, anti-biased, intersectional, and transformative affirming community and space accessible for all students that centers student voice and supportive relationships. All students will have equal access to the Kellogg Middle School Counseling Program, that provides developmentally appropriate activities and include individual and small group counseling and classroom lessons. In addition, students will be treated equitably, with fairness, justice, and respect by staff.

The Kellogg Middle School Counseling Program does not discriminate on the basis of a person’s color, sex, race, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital status, sexual orientation, or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability, or any other characteristic protected by state or federal law.
